The Streaming Video Technology Alliance partners and alliances represent our commitment to working closely with complimentary organizations and associations to ensure that similar work across these groups can be coordinated. Through these relationships, the Alliance may share draft documents (for input and review), provide support for events, and more. The SVTA is working with CDSA to develop a specification/approach for CDNs to combat CDN Leeching.

While this liaison is officially with the Consumer Technology Association, the sharing activity is limited to the CTA-WAVE (Web Application Video Ecosystem) Group. The liaison covers work currently being done on the Distributed Media Tracing project.

The scope of the liaison is to collaborate across various SVTA and DVB working areas for the purpose of ensuring alignment between the two organizations with regard to work that affects native streaming providers and broadcasters who are launching streaming services.
The organizations will exchange regularly on topics of common interest, whether via liaison documents or, as required, joint meetings.
