Why Did NASA Join the Streaming Video Technology Alliance?
Since NASA joined the streaming world with NASA+, we realized we needed to leverage our friends in streaming tech to pull off the next moon landing. This is a global effort, and we needed help. The SVTA is where collaboration meets expertise in streaming technology, so we knew immediately that we had to get a seat at the table. Not only is space hard, but streaming live from the moon is going to be quite an accomplishment as well.
What Do You Believe is the Biggest Technical Challenge Facing the Streaming Video Industry the SVTA Can Help Address?
Streaming massive live events globally, without breaking the pipes. Determining how we can work globally to make sure that we can pull off things such as the next moon landing.
How Does an Organization Like the SVTA Bring Value to the Industry?
The SVTA is a place where you can go to as NASA says to “make the impossible possible” and this is what the SVTA provides. Streaming technology is still “new” and we are waiting for the industry to catch up to this new way of distributing content to the world, so instead of waiting for the industry to solve them – we count on our friends at the SVTA.
