The biggest technical challenge today is achieving real interoperability — ensuring that the many evolving standards and technologies work together seamlessly rather than in isolation. There’s enormous potential for the SVTA to help the industry systematize and integrate specifications such as CMCD, CMSD, Content Steering, Low Latency Streaming, and Open Caching into a cohesive ecosystem that shares common data models and operational logic.

If we can achieve that, it will simplify operations for everyone — improving consistency, predictability, and scalability across the entire streaming chain. That’s where the SVTA can make a real difference: by turning a fragmented standards landscape into a connected framework that benefits every player in the streaming ecosystem.
