Madeleine Noland, who chairs the guidelines working group presented on behalf of the Ultra HD Forum to the Global UHD Conference held in Seoul in late March.
The conference was a two-day event, with the first day covering the pending launch of ATSC 3.0 UHD terrestrial broadcast services in Korea and the second day spent on technical details of UHD, particularly as relates to OTA broadcasting.
The Ultra HD Forum’s presentation was a break from the OTA (Over the Air) theme of the day, focusing instead on the UHDF in general: The Phase A and B Guidelines and the work of the Interoperability and Security working groups.
There were approximately 150 attendees.

Jason Thibeault
Jason is the CEO of the Streaming Video Technology Alliance, the international technical association for streaming video which brings companies from across the streaming ecosystem together to collaborate on technical solutions to delivering high-quality video at scale. In this role, he runs day-to-day operations, finances, member recruitment, strategy, and evangelizes the organization at events around the world.
