Streaming Sports Council
Overview
The SVTA Streaming Sports Council’s purpose is to act as an industry touch point between the technical work done in groups like the SVTA and the broader Sports Industry. This objective will be accomplished through identifying and documenting key technical challenges facing the delivery and security of high-quality live streaming sports at scale.
Objectives
The group has the following objectives:
- Identify key technical issues in delivering high-quality live sports streaming securely at scale
- Identify the technical challenges in delivering new streaming sports experiences such as AR/VR
- Publication of discussion results to help influence SDO technical efforts and industry events
- Discussion of technical challenges
- Documentation of discussion
- Develop solutions for specific technical challenges
- Recommend preferred methods (i.e., specific vendor technologies) for solving specific technical challenges
