Industry Meetups

In addition to the many industry events that are planned, a number of scheduled meetups happen around the globe. These smaller, more intimate events bring together some of the brightest minds in our industry to talk about critical technical challenges and how to over come them. We’ve listed a few of those meetups below and will continue to update this list as more meetups are created.

BCN Video Tech

BCN Video Tech is a community of engineers, developers and fans of online video technology. Each quarter, our meetups are an opportunity to gather around all the technical topics in the video workflow: HTML5 players, encoding, transcoding, distribution, analytics, advertising, monetization, and many more!

Berlin Video Tech Meetup

The Berlin Video Tech Meetup is for anyone interested in video technology, media players, streaming, transcoding, codecs, content management, publishing platforms, OTT platforms, STB/IOT/connected devices, open standards, live-streaming/broadcast, VoD, DRM, content protection, free and open source software implementations, WebAudio API, low-level-problems related to media contribution/distribution/playout, and last but not least audio-only or music distribution/publishing 🙂

BOS Video Group

The BOS Video Technology meetup is for anyone interested in the underlying technology behind video playback, storage and delivery: HTML5 video, streaming, transcoding, codecs, advertising, open standards, CDNs, peer-to-peer, 360° …and more! While presentations will focus on the engineering side and not the creative side, creatives are still welcome.

Denver Video Technology

The Denver Video Technology meetup is for anyone interested in the underlying technology behind video and video publishing with a focus on software and software development. Some of the topics we will be discussing are: video streaming, transcoding, codecs, open standards, and more.

Kitchener-Waterloo Video Technology

MonteVIDEO Tech Meetup

MonteVIDEO Tech Meetup is for anyone interested in the underlying technology behind video distribution and PayTV industry. We will discuss about the industry from a technical side: engineering, product design and development. We will cover technologies like broadcasting, monitoring, subscriber management systems, video security (CA and DRM), HTML5 video, streaming, transcoding, codecs, advertising, open standards, and more. Everyone is welcome!
