Streaming Video Alliance Convenes for Q1 Member Meeting

 

Welcomes New Members and 2022 Grant Recipients

 

FREMONT, Calif. — January 31, 2022 — The Streaming Video Alliance (the Alliance), a global technical association developing solutions to address critical technical challenges in delivering a high-quality video experience at scale, convenes online today for the first quarterly member meeting of the year. This virtual event, themed “Stuck in the Virtual Loop” will span four days, starting today, January 31, through Thursday, February 3, 2022. In order to accommodate attendees from around the world, all events will start early Pacific Time.

 

The SVA is proud to welcome new Principal Members Alibaba, Thales, and Velocix. The Alliance is also pleased to announce the return of Google and Wowza as Principal Members.

 

“We are excited to kick off this week’s meeting and formally welcome our new members and grant member recipients,” said Jason Thibeault, Executive Director at the Streaming Video Alliance. “2022 is off to a strong start; I’m inspired by our collective progress to date, especially in light of the pandemic, and look forward to our members’ ongoing contributions to the streaming video industry.”

Streaming Video Alliance Opens Public Comment Window for Non-Member Companies

 

As part of SVA’s ongoing mission to connect the streaming video industry, they are officially announcing the availability of public comments for draft documents. Interested companies must apply and sign a feedback and non-disclosure agreement before submitting their feedback. The feedback will be reviewed alongside other member comments made during the first phase of the document ratification process. Alliance Welcomes 2022 Grant Members

 

Each year the Membership Grant program sponsors select, small companies meeting specific financial requirements with a one-year Principal membership. For the second year in a row, the Alliance has met its commitment to award at least fifty percent of the membership grants to businesses led by underrepresented groups.

 

Blockcast, Netskrt Systems, picoNETS have joined the Alliance as the 2022 class of grant recipients. In addition, 2021 grant recipient members Datazoom, Didja, Touchstream, and allt will continue into 2022 as Grant members.
