Alex Giladi has been a major contributor to MPEG DASH since 2010 and is currently one of the spec editors. His contributions over the years became enablers for DASH-based live services and ad insertion. He contributed to many DASH-adjacent specifications, such as CENC, DASH-IF IOP, SCTE 214, and CMCD. Alex was the Vice President and later President of the DASH Industry Forum, and in these roles he was instrumental in the DASH-IF merger with the SVTA. Alex is currently co-chair of the following SVTA working groups:

• Encoding and Packaging Working Group
• Edge Working Group
