Description

The Q3 meeting will be held in Madrid, Spain. In our continued efforts to make your travel more convenient and efficient for our members, we are colocating with IETF 123, held the following week.

Note: This meeting is for Streaming Video Technology Alliance member companies only. If you would like to attend and contribute to the Alliance’s work, we encourage you to  join today!

Working Group Topics and Materials

Below are topics discussed during working group sessions as well as any supporting presentation materials and recorded videos.

Advertising Working Group

This working group plans to discuss the following topics:

  • Version 3.0 of Creative Signaling in DASH and HLS, which will include updates for DASH v6, and nonlinear ads (potentially in collaboration with iAB)
  • Skippable Ads
  • Collaboration with the Metadata WG on Advertising Metadata (another potential collaboration with iAB)
  • Begin discussion around Advertising 201 for SVTA University

DASH-IF Working Group

This working group plans to discuss the following topics:

  • Summary of DASH-IF F2F in June 2025
  • Progress on DASH-IF Feature Development

Edge Working Group

This working group plans to discuss the following topics:

  • Review the Edge Cache Hosting Foundation document in order to make it ready for publication.
  • Iron out different topics which impact our advance with our use-case, such as terminology, boundaries between parties, security requirements, etc.
  • Discuss next steps.

Edge Storage Sub-Working Group

This subgroup plans to discuss the following topic:

  • Cache Management Interface Version 1.1

Encoding And Packaging Working Group

This working group plans to discuss the following topics:

  • Contribution formats and protocols

Immersive Video Study Group

This study group plans to discuss the following topics:

  • Emerging trends and the VR marketplace
  • Walk through of the Extended Reality technical publication, work in progress

Low Latency Streaming Working Group

Measurement/QoE Section Working Group

This working group plans to discuss the following topics:

  • Review progress on the Error Codes and MQA workstreams for the last quarter. Survey the room on:
    • How they think progress is going?
    • What we need to change to be more effective?

  • Working session on the Error Codes project with the Players & Playback WG.
