picoNETS started as a deep Edge CDN with a focus on solving Content Delivery challenges for OTTs and Digital Media companies in

  • Poor network areas
  • High-performance requirements for 4K-8K streaming AR/ VR/ Metaverse.

This is a challenge that the industry needs to solve as a team. We believe in the power of partnership and ecosystems, hence when the opportunity arose, we applied for the membership under the grant program and were delighted to be selected.

The resources and the opportunities that the Alliance offers are crucial for our roadmap and global growth aspirations.

What Do You Believe is the Biggest Technical Challenge Facing the Streaming Video Industry the SVTA Can Help Address?

In the Zettabyte era, videos (VOD/Streaming) contribute a major share of the internet traffic. With even more accelerated growth, 4K/8K/AR/VR, Metaverse, and 5G are presenting new challenges for content delivery. It should be noted that along with entertainment, there are many verticals such as Education, Retail, Private networks, etc. where video delivery is crucial. Low latency requirements, challenges with poor connectivity, and tech silos are some of the technical challenges that the Alliance can help address.

How Does an Organization Like the SVTA Bring Value to the Industry?

An alliance like the Streaming Video Alliance is much needed to foster innovation and solve fundamental challenges facing the industry as a whole. The Alliance nurtures open, vendor-agnostic, friendly discussions and helps everyone focus on the common challenges. The Alliance is breaking the boundaries between competitors, big companies, and startups and truly creating esprit de corps. The Alliance’s contribution to creating open standards and setting industry direction in various areas like Advertising, Open-Caching, QoS, and VR are well known.
