About This Document

This whitepaper presents a collection of results from studies of the usage of Common
Media Server Data (CMSD) parameters to enhance media streaming performance. The
presented results show that the CMSD keys “availability time”, “startup flag”, and
estimated throughput have a positive impact on quality of experience.
