Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 10:00am (PT)

You’ve seen the hype. 5G is coming. Unfortunately it’s not anytime real soon. Consumers will need to upgrade their devices, mobile operators will need to deploy tons of new equipment to provide for uninterrupted wireless 5G service in dense metro areas, and the industry will need to understand the use cases for 5G and how to monetize them. One clear opportunity for 5G is streaming video. Cisco has long been saying through their Visual Networking Index report that mobile IP traffic is largely video. Does that mean the bandwidth afforded by 5G will enable more streaming? Higher quality streaming? But 5G will also enable a more responsive edge network. Could that affect the mobile streaming experience, enabling more interactive opportunities? In this webinar, we will explore what 5G means to streaming, how video distributors can take advantage of the 5G opportunities, and when we can expect to see broad adoption and impact.
